Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog, My Aesthetics Views. Last time I showed you the wonders of Capiz in Region 6. This time we will adventure to a new place, still in Region 6, called “Aklan”. I know you are already familiar with Aklan with its tourist spot—the Boracay Island and its festival, Ati-Atihan, but in my blog I’m not gonna talk about the Boracay Island nor Ati-Atihan. We are going to venture deeper on wonderful places and tourist spots in Aklan that you will enjoy just like in Boracay or Ati-Atihan festival. Let’s not waste time. We’ll start our journey to Aklan.

Let’s begin in our first spot in “Banyangan Village” in the Municipality of Lezo near the Catholic Church. If you want something to remember in your travel, Banyangan Village is well known for its pottery and craftsmanship using earthen clay in a traditional way where you buy or order your own design of pottery.

If you desire relaxation and a view of our second spot of the day just for you, I’m introducing “OB-OB Hill” found in Batan, Aklan. It is 660 feet high located in Barangay Songcolan, Batan where you can enjoy sea side of Sibuyan Sea. Located near the hill is a cave where you can experience cave diving, scuba diving and fishing.

In our third spot of the day, it’s all about hiking, river adventure and if you love rocks this is the place for you. Welcome to “Liktinon White Rocks”. It’s located in Barangay Maria Cristina, Madalag, Aklan. From Kalibo, you need to take a jeepney to Libacao that aligns in Madalag with one and a half hours of travel. On your arrival in the town, you need first to contact the Municipal Tourism Office for tourist assistance in going to Liktinon White Rocks. It is a river full of giant boulders of white rocks and clean running water where you can swim with family and friends.

These are all for the day on our adventure to the new and exciting places found in Aklan. You can see that not only “The Boracay Island” and “Ati-Atihan Festival” are exciting in Aklan. There are a lot of places that can be found in there if only you know where to look and ask. I hope you enjoyed our today’s blog and visit Aklan with friends and family for adventures listed in my today’s “My Aesthetic Views”. See you again in my next blog.
